Woodnote

The Woodnote project was designed by and for the student population in collaboration with the Concordia Student Union (CSU).

The Project

Located facing the iconic La Fontaine Park, the Woodnote project is the perfect balance between urban life and green spaces. This is UTILE's first built project; the concretization of nearly 10 years of work to reimagine the future of student housing. The Woodnote has 144 rooms spread among 90 complete apartments ranging from studios to 4 bedrooms.

More Than Affordable Housing

Becoming a tenant at the Woodnote is synonymous with community. By developing this project, UTILE and its partners wanted to create a unique model of student housing by allowing them to have a concrete impact on their living environment by getting involved in a solidarity coorperative.

A Solidarity Cooperative By and For Tenants

The Woodnote cooperative is a partner of UTILE in the project and is responsible for the development of the community within the building.

Becoming a member of the cooperative allows you to invest directly in your living environment. The are different ways to get involved, whether by participating in one of the committees or by becoming a member of the 9-person Board of Directors.
